If the thunder don’t get you then the lightning will
Gabby has lymphoma. The best case is if it can be pushed into remission by chemo for some months. Biff and Sunshine are aware something’s off. Cats too. They sure are sweet trying to comfort us. Despite their efforts I’m just a blubbering basket case. Again we are grateful to the tripawds community for helping us through such times. Just posting here helps. Thanks.
So.Not.Fair. I am sooooo sorry to hear your news.
Hope you are not crying in front of Gabby! Talk about confusadawg! You gotta be strong for her. How did you find out about the lymphoma and how is Gabby feeling?
Take a deep breath and find that inner pool of peace that comes from looking deep into Gabby’s eyes and from burying your face in her fur. Smell her paws! Remember to be a dog and take it one day at a time. Share the love and the moment with your girl and the rest of your pack.
Anyway, please please keep us posted on how Gabby is doing. You gotta know the entire tripawds community has your back right about now. And the Oaktown Pack is sending y’all all our tripawd strength and love.
Remember, breathe, in, out. Smell the rain on the wind. And remember to smile for Gabby!
xoxox,
Travis Ray
p.s. Hey! Hey! We got 3 tripawds in our house too! We thought we were the only ones on the planet!
Oh no! Geez, your title for this post is so appropriate. I’m very, very sorry to hear this. Cancer is just a sucky situation to be in, but from what I understand lymphoma is a highly manageable condition. Please don’t let the statistics get you down. Remember, 9 out of 10 are wrong! We will be here to support you and offer any information we can, so please don’t be a stranger OK?
We are thinking of all of you and sending Tripawd love your way.
So sorry to hear this news about Gabby. Wishing you and her the best outcome possible. Please keep us posted and know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
Yup management is underway and glad you follow the title. It was better to fill my head with that than “Death Don’t”. Management includes two chemo agents and I’ll try to post more about that tomorrow for interested readers to compare notes or make suggestions. Today management will also include a fresh filet. All three will enjoy that. 20% of statisticians produce 80% of faulty stats… or was that the other way around in reverse?
…and we thought we were the only ones. Nice! Thanks for the kind thoughts! We’re off to rake leaves. She likes to lay in the leaf pile.
